But we all know these people choose to live like this, because they are lazy, and prefer being poor to having a job that pays a decent wage.  *insert sarcasm here*

Now the battle is not to allow slaves to marry, but same sex couples. The players may change, but the fight goes on.

This was said when Bush was president in 2004. The second saddest thing is that the republican party has gotten even worse. The saddest thing is that we have seen the return of Newt!

Get Off Your Lazy Ass and WALK!

I have reached the conclusion that many Americans are just totally clueless to what is going on around them.  I can still laugh about it, but I find that I am often crying on the inside.

Today, I was lucky enough to run into one of my neighbors at the corner gas station/quick mart.  As she stood in line ion front of me, her half gallon of milk in her hands, she proceeded to bitch and moan about the price of gas. Apparently that Damn Obama is not doing anything to make the prices go down, and she can barely afford to keep gas in her car right now.  I won’t really get into the Obama angle except to say that George Bush couldn’t control the price of gas in 2008 when it went above $4 per gallon, and President Obama can’t control it in 2011 either. HOWEVER..this poor woman, who is struggling to put gas into her car lives 1 block down from me.  I live (I have actually timed this), at a regular paced walk,  72 seconds from this corner store. My neighbor had walked out to her driveway, got into her car, turned it on, pulled out of her driveway, and proceeded to drive 2 blocks to the store to get a half gallon of milk and then take it home.  My sympathy for her gasoline woes is ZERO.
